My husband and I booked Stanley House for our wedding reception some two and a half years before the day. I am extremely organised but after looking at many other venues, I felt Stanley House could not be beaten so was eager to book up. I am someone who has very high expectations, a perfectionist, and Stanley House and the team did not fail to impress.
Emma and Joy, event and wedding planners, were fantastic. Emma was our main contact and she did everything in her power to make sure our day was incredible, every wish was catered for.
David Jones, was our events manager who helped with the running of the day. He was brilliant. Professional, considerate and went beyound our expectations to ensure our day ran as smoothly as possible, Also not to forget to mention Louis, who was a delight.
The food and drink was amazing from the canapes and cocktails for the welcome, the wedding breakfast to the evening buffet. Our guests, like ourselves were very impressed.
The rooms were fantastic. Our families occupied most of the rooms and had a pleasant stay. Myself and my husband enjoyed the room so much we stayed an extra night. My only grip would be that breakfast time should be extended particularly at the weekends.
We would also like to mention the beautiful flowers arranged by Linda Hardman at the Flower shop in Clitheroe, a contact of Stanley House. Minerva ensamble played wonderful music for our welcolm and breakfast. Our band, Frisco and Broadband provided us and our guests with brilliant music for the evening reception, everyone commented how fantastic they were. I enjoyed the night dancing on the fabulous starlit floor we hired via Janet at Starlit flooring.
Our day was perfect, our dreams came true and we could not have wished for a better venue

The venue couldn’t have worked better and was thoroughly enjoyed by all, the food was great, the accommodation was great and even the weather was on our side, not sure how you arranged for those few hours of sun but thanks!!
I have to point out how wonderful it was dealing with you throughout the planning stages and right to the big day, it was invaluable to have such a great contact to be able to answer all our silly questions as soon as they popped into our heads.

This is a thank you to all the staff at Stanley House, Mellor.
We have just celebrated our wedding 22nd July 2011 and just wish to put in writing how delighted we were with how the day and preparations leading up to the big event were conducted.
We had a dedicated person, Joy who was our main point of contact, however, if she was ever unavailable there was always Emma or other staff who knew who we were and could look at every detail on file.
The day before our wedding we were introduced to David Jones who then went through in great detail all the specific requirements and timetable of the day and who would be doing what in what order and answering all our many questions.
Notes were taken and we left having every confidence that the day would run smoothly.
We were not disappointed! We can honestly say we had a fabulous day, everything went to plan and we have received nothing but compliments on the venue, staff and above all, the food. We had fillet steak which was divine. The children were also very happy with their menu choices.
Our room was beautiful and breakfast delicious.
We even added a live band at last minute and again everything was taken care of with minimum input from ourselves.
Every detail was 100%
A great decision to choose Stanley House as our wedding venue.

Finally we have managed to get back to normal life following our wedding on the 14th September this year. Michelle and I just wanted to drop you a note to thank you and all the staff for your help in making our wedding day so special.
The food, the service and the treatment from the moment we arrived to when we departed was first class and Mr Louis Garcia was fundamental in ensuring the wedding breakfast ran like clockwork and was in control of the situation throughout, without being pushy or aggressive.

Thanks for everything you did to help make our wedding day so special.
