Spa’s treatment is voted best in Britain 2013
A treatment at the Spa at Stanley House, Mellor, has been voted the best in the UK.
The 55 minute ilā Ananda Bliss Facial won best facial treatment in the prestigious Good Spa Guide Awards 2013.
This award recognises the best in the spa industry and is voted for by The Good Spa Guide’s team of spa experts who have scoured the country over the past 12 months to find the ultimate facial.
ilā Ananda Bliss Facial techniques include the use of marma points to open up the energy centres of the body making it a healing and reviving treatment resulting in radiant skin.
Kelly Hallowes from The Good Spa Guide said: “Though our spies are of differing ages and skin types, we are able to compare and judge treatments based on the skill of the therapist, the coherence of the various stages of the therapy, the results, both immediately afterwards and a few days later, and the feeling of the overall experience.
“We felt that the expertise of the therapist at Stanley House Spa, combined with the naturally effective products and techniques, made for a truly fabulous treatment experience that left us feeling and looking good for days afterwards.
“We were especially delighted to find an organic facial that can offer noticeable anti-ageing results without the need for chemicals or specialist equipment.”
Delighted with the national award win Janine Bradley, spa manager at Stanley House said: “The ilā Ananda Bliss Facial is a beautiful treatment and one of the most popular amongst our guests.
“It is particularly special because it has long lasting results not only on the skin but also on the mind. The ability this facial has to help our guests relax and revive is very much part of the ethos at Stanley House Hotel and Spa which the ilā brand helps us to deliver. ”
Surrounded by 54 acres of picturesque Lancashire countryside, The Spa at Stanley House Hotel at Mellor, in the heart of the Ribble Valley, is a stylish sanctuary dedicated to providing guests with a complete five star experience from start to finish.
The spa itself was designed by international spa consultant Neil Howard, ‘the Tom Ford of spas’ who previously designed the spa at the Dorchester Hotel and Armani spas, Neil’s inspiration when designing The Spa at Stanley House was ‘bringing the outside in’ – which reflects in the spa’s décor and theme throughout. Natural light of the countryside shines in to almost every area of the spa by day and as evening falls, guests can enjoy a beautiful sunset which can even be seen from the sauna.
