The Spa at Stanley House is looking for enthusiastic therapists to join an existing team in our award winning boutique spa. Nestled in the heart of the beautiful Ribble Valley, The Spa at Stanley House Hotel hosts 6 treatment rooms and is partnered with such brands as Natura Bisse, ILA and Jessica Nails for manicures and pedicures. There are thermal bathing facilities including 4 sauna/steam rooms and a spa lounge for guests to enjoy before or after their award winning treatments. This is the perfect location for people who thrive in the spa environment and have a passion for delivering high service standards for our discerning clientele.

Spa Therapists are responsible for delivering beauty treatments to guests, clients and members; promoting sales of goods and attracting repeat business whilst reporting to the Senior Therapist/Spa Manager.

Job essential attributes
  • Qualifications: Beauty Therapy NVQ Level 3
  • A valid UK/ EU work permit: Required
  • Clean Driver’s License: Required
Job description
  • Perform all aspects of beauty treatments to a high standard ensuring that every guest is treated professionally and guest concerns are effectively understood
  • Keep treatment rooms to a high standard of cleanliness at all times
  • Promote and make sales of products according to guest needs
  • Attract repeat business from guests by promoting other spa services
  • Provide a friendly, efficient and courteous service to guests at all times providing a high standard of customer care
  • Deal with complaints and hand over to Senior Therapist or Spa Manager if necessary
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients at all times
  • Perform reception and spa attendant duties as and when required to support the running of the spa
  • Good time management and a high standard of personal presentation

Spa Attendant

This would be an ideal role for anyone wanting to get into the spa industry and a passion for delivering the best. It also gives a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to really understand all operating functions of the spa and absorb themselves in a 5 star standard spa where nothing is too much trouble for our guest. Previous experience is not necessary as training will be provided however a good attitude towards work will serve you very well.

The role we are currently recruiting for is a part time Spa Attendant, for 24/32 hrs per week (3 or 4 day contract)

Job essential attributes
  • Supporting the daily running of the operation. restocking, organizing amenities, cleaning down and setting up changing rooms and facilities
  • Checking off deliveries, ensuring stock and towel counts are accurate and prepped in advance
  • High calibre customer service and engagement to meet the demands and expectations of our guests
  • Ability to provide flexible shifts this role is dynamic and busy!
  • Good time keeper, efficient and organised
  • Team player and good communicator

Previous experience is not necessary as training will be provided, although spa background and good customer service skills and a presentable manner is desirable.

We also recommend that your own transport is used as bus times are not as frequent.

Food and beverage assistant.

Mr Fred’s Restaurant and Bar
Stanley House Hotel & Spa is currently recruiting for a full-time waiter/waitress for our luxury 4 star privately owned property. Reporting to the Mr Fred’s Manager, the role demands a high level of customer service, maximising revenue and to make sure the highest standards are followed at all times.

This is a key position within the hotel as Mr Fred’s serves both non-residents and residents and is open throughout the whole day and we will be looking at the successful candidate to have the following attributes;

Job Essential Attributes
  • Previous waiting on experience in a 4 star standard restaurant
  • Excellent customer relations skills
  • Good knowledge of food and drink products and trends
  • Excellent Sales techniques
  • Excellent Attention to detail
  • Previous bar experience (not essential)
  • Basic Job Description
    • Serving guests both food and drink

We are currently recruiting a full-time receptionist for our luxury 4 star privately owned property. Reporting to the Reception Manager, the role demands a high level of customer service, maximising revenue and to make sure the highest standards are followed at all times. Attention to detail and accuracy within all administration duties are key.

    This is a key position within the hotel as reception is the first point of call for every guest and we will be looking at the successful candidate to have the following attributes;

  • Previous Front Office experience in a hotel Reception

    • Welcoming and directing guests in person, via email and over the telephone

    • Checking the day to day arrivals to make sure those bookings are correct
    • Responding to emails
    • Maintaining filing systems and ensuring correspondence is accurately filed and completed on a daily basis
    • This is a full-time role (40 hours over 5 days per week including weekends and evenings). Shifts are 7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm.
