There are thermal bathing facilities including 4 sauna/steam rooms and a spa lounge for guests to enjoy before or after their award winning treatments. Spa Therapists are responsible for delivering beauty treatments to guests, clients and members; promoting sales of goods and attracting repeat business whilst reporting to the Senior Therapist/Spa Manager.

Job description
  • Perform all aspects of beauty treatments to a high standard ensuring that every guest is treated professionally and guest concerns are effectively understood
  • Keep treatment rooms to a high standard of cleanliness at all times
  • Promote and make sales of products according to guest needs
  • Attract repeat business from guests by promoting other spa services
  • Provide a friendly, efficient and courteous service to guests at all times providing a high standard of customer care
  • Deal with complaints and hand over to Senior Therapist or Spa Manager if necessary
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients at all times
  • Perform reception and spa attendant duties as and when required to support the running of the spa
  • Good time management and a high standard of personal presentation

Spa Attendants

This would be an ideal role for anyone wanting to get into the spa industry and a passion for delivering the best. It also gives a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to really understand all operating functions of the spa and absorb themselves in a 5 star standard spa where nothing is too much trouble for our guest. Previous experience is not necessary as training will be provided however a good attitude towards work will serve you very well.

The role we are currently recruiting for is a part time Spa Attendant, for 24/32 hrs per week (3 or 4 day contract)

Job essential attributes
  • Supporting the daily running of the operation. restocking, organizing amenities, cleaning down and setting up changing rooms and facilities
  • Checking off deliveries, ensuring stock and towel counts are accurate and prepped in advance
  • High calibre customer service and engagement to meet the demands and expectations of our guests

Previous experience is not necessary as training will be provided, although spa background and good customer service skills and a presentable manner is desirable.

We also recommend that your own transport is used as bus times are not as frequent.

Restaurant Manager

Stanley House is an award winning, privately owned hotel and spa which opened in 2004 in the Ribble Valley, Lancashire.

The restaurant is in many respects “the soul” of Stanley House and it offers a modern take on a traditional but casual dining experience. Whilst we seek to maintain the standards and disciplines already present, we will encourage a more relaxed service style commensurate with modern day dining.

Restaurant managers ensure that restaurants operate efficiently and profitably while maintaining their reputation and ethos. They must coordinate a variety of activities, whatever the size or type of the outlet; and are responsible for the business performance, quality standards and health and safety of the restaurant.

The applicant must possess demonstrable restaurant experience to a minimum 2 rosette standard. A very good working knowledge of the wine business, in all its guises, is essential. The objective will be to ensure that through the team, a first class dining experience to our customers is delivered. You must be impactful in developing a strong guest following and you must be competent in all relevant aspects of restaurant sales management. Stanley House Hotel & Spa is currently recruiting for a full-time waiter/waitress for our luxury 4 star privately owned property. Reporting to the Mr Fred’s Manager, the role demands a high level of customer service, maximising revenue and to make sure the highest standards are followed at all times.

This is a key position within the hotel as Mr Fred’s serves both non-residents and residents and is open throughout the whole day and we will be looking at the successful candidate to have the following attributes;
