More than 100 couples are expected to descend on Stanley House Hotel as it throws open its doors to brides and grooms-to-be for an exclusive wedding showcase evening, on Thursday April 12 (17.00 to 20.00).
The hotel is expecting a mixture of guests including bride and grooms who have already booked their nuptials at Stanley House, along with prospective couples. The event follows a bumper year for wedding bookings at the hotel, with almost double the number of weddings in comparison to 2011.
Guests will be able to treat the wedding showcase as a trial run for their big day, sampling the Stanley House experience with champagne on arrival and the hotel dressed for the occasion. They will also be able to see the multimillion pound transformation that is currently underway at the hotel.
From the summer of 2012, wedding parties will be able to take advantage of the hotel’s new, world class spa offering. The redevelopment includes the addition of 18 new bedrooms, bringing the total rooms to 30 including the original manor house.
A further investment sees an extension to Mr Fred’s Bar and Lounge, which follows a surge in sales at the popular eatery, doubling its capacity from 28 to 58 covers, with work completed by late Spring 2012.
Stanley House’s sales and marketing manager, Wendy Hope, said: “We’re in the midst of a wedding boom with record bookings at the hotel.
“We’re very proud of the investment and redevelopment at Stanley House and we’re holding the wedding showcase as a chance for people to see just how much we have to offer as a wedding destination like no other.”
