Stanley House pays tribute to excellence of staff

Over 70 members of staff and their partners attended Stanley House’s annual employee awards dinner at the hotel’s barn suite on Sunday, February 4.

The event recognised and rewarded employees for their outstanding work and commitment to the hotel’s ongoing success story.

Attendees enjoyed a delicious three course meal from a menu featuring a starter of roasted winter vegetable terrine, mulled plums, and a main of ballontine of chicken, leek fondue and tarragon mash, followed by bread and butter pudding and custard.

Disco entertainment was provided by Stanley House’s partner and friend DFC, while toastmaster Andy Ashworth took charge of the ceremonial proceedings.

The award for Outstanding Leader went to Simon Tauber, while Matthew Hodson was judged Employee of the Year and Danny Young received the accolade for Exceptional Team Member.

The Rising Star award was won by Laura West while Max Howarth was the Best Dressed Team Member and Emma Dunstan won recognition as Unsung Hero. Taiyab Sufi was presented with the Calm in the Eye of Storm award, and Best Newcomer was Dena Nuttall.

Philip Wharton, general manager at Stanley House Hotel and Spa, said: “All our team members are top professionals who are dedicated to their jobs and making the Stanley House experience faultless for our guests. It’s important to celebrate this high level of performance by recognising those whose contribution over the last 12 months has been particularly outstanding.”

Philip added: “The evening was a great success. The whole team was able to bond and let their hair down at a fun and memorable event.”
