What age do you class as a child?

What order should you seat the guests on the top table?

Traditionally as your guests would view the top table:

Should you wish to have orchids or an abundance of roses, the choice is entirely yours, however may be subject to supplement charges. As we do have a great relationship with this supplier, the price we allocate towards this element in no way reflects the retail value of such decoration.

We have booked the Intimate package – but notice that the Ultimate package has chair covers included – is this something that you could arrange for us?

We could arrange chair covers for you, this would be an additional fee of £5.80 per chair, alternatively you can contact our recommended supplier Creative Cover Hire directly on 01772 614461

Are there any limitations as to what I can offer my guests as favours? Do you have any unique ideas?

Traditionally Wedding favours are made using 5 sugared almonds wrapped in tuille nets. Each of the 5 sugared almonds contained in all Wedding Favours have a meaning and symbolise:- Health, Wealth, Happiness, Long Life and Fertility.
Closer to the date we will ask for confirmation of what you will be providing for your guests to ensure this is in line with our policies. We ask that you do not offer favours which contain alcohol as you will be charged an additional corkage fee. Click here to open the door to unique gift ideas

Do you allow candles to be lit?

We have very little restriction when it comes to dressing the tables, you can have candles (as long as they are held in a votive or candelabra), confetti, whatever you wish to personalize your tables with. Stanley House Hotel can not accept liability for the wedding presents; therefore we recommend that it is the responsibility of the Best Man or Chief Bridesmaid to ensure their safety and security after the celebrations have concluded. Post boxes are ever increasing in popularity should you be expecting vouchers, money, gift-cards as presents which can be retrieved easily at the end of the night, the contents of which can be stored in the safes provided in the bedrooms.

I am looking at organising my own LED white dance floor for the evening reception – as I know your dance floor is in the evening costs – is this something we could deduct in price from the evening package?

I can advise that omitting the dance floor from your requirements would not affect the event charges however you are welcome to organise your own dance floor and we would coordinate access times with your supplier on the week of the wedding.

Is there a smoking area at Stanley House?

We do have a designated area for smokers which is located by the entrance to our restaurant ‘Grill on the Hill’
